Description: Cheyenne River Service Health Center Hospital is hiring a few Locum Hospitalists. This is a government owned and operated facility providing inpatient services and outpatient. Primary duty will be to provide care to Inpatient Department. Performs triage, assesses, and reassesses patients throughout the patient visits. Ensures documentation of medical assessments and observations are documented accurately in the patientxe2x80x99s health care record. Documents consultations in the patientxe2x80x99s health care record. Procedures for transfer of patients requiring transfer to facilities where a higher level of care must follow the xe2x80x9cEmergency Medical Treatment and Labor Actxe2x80x9d (EMTALA) guidelines. Obtains necessary information on patients seen in the Inpatient Department, such as medical records, x-ray films and reports, and pathology slides and reports and documents pertinent normal and abnormal test results in the patientxe2x80x99s medical record. Implements, evaluates and is consulted on Inpatient procedures and instructions. The Hospitalist shall work up to 7 days a week, 12 hour shifts, on sight, 0700 xe2x80x93 1900 and on call 1900 -0700. Holidays included. During on-call, the Hospitalist shall be subject to call back, to evaluate an ER patient for possible admission, or to access an in-patient when needed. Shall work no more than 7 continuous days, but may be less. Required to rest one day after 7 days then can work another 7 days if needed. This schedule is subject to change by the Medical Director, depending on the need of the facility. All-inclusive Regular Hours: All-inclusive hour, any hours worked during the period of performance of the contract. Overtime Hours: No overtime hours, all-inclusive hours. On-Call: The contractor is off duty, but remains available by telephone for the purpose of being contacted when an inpatient condition changes, or new admissions need to be admitted. Remains within a reasonable call-back radius, and reports for duty within 30 minutes of contact, or if live on campus, within 25 minutes of contact. Work Flexibility: Because we are a health facility and there are compliance issues where coverage is mandatory, work schedules shall occasionally change. As directed by the Clinical Director or Deputy Clinical Director, the contractor shall rotate into other duty sections as needed to support patient care. Prairie Band Health Services is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 1 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B). Must be Board Certified Must have current Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) Certification of Education – copy of diploma or transcripts DEA Immunization records Ability to pass Federal Security Clearance Specialty Requirements: The Physician must have a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited college or university in the specialty area required to complete the FTE. EXPERIENCE. The Physician must have a minimum of 3 years of experience within Family Practice/Internal Medicine to include fellow and residency time within the past 36 months prior to provider beginning performance at Cheyenne River Health Center.
