Our client, a faith-based employer of choice is seeking a locum tenens Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician in Norco, LA (St. Charles Parish) Clinic Setting: Out-patient Shift Times: 8 AM to 12 PM Shift Hours: 20 Hours per week Job Description: xc2xb7 Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients in order to meet their needs xc2xb7 Educates patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources to the patients xc2xb7 Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs xc2xb7 Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments xc2xb7 Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care xc2xb7 Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients xc2xb7 Orders studies, test, and ancillary services xc2xb7 Documents all services in patient medical record in ECW xc2xb7 Reviews on a regular basis long term cases that require ongoing medical attention xc2xb7 Consults with Physician Lead, Director of Medicine, and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and educational issues xc2xb7 Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs xc2xb7 Assists as needed in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients xc2xb7 Assists in the development, production, and presentation of medical education, material, lectures, and mixed media presentations for patient and medical staff xc2xb7 Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations Benefits: xc2xb7 Faith based & mission driven organization xc2xb7 Work/life balance of a Monday – Friday schedule, part time. xc2xb7 No nights, no weekends, no major holidays, no call & no after-hours charting xc2xb7 Out-patient clinic staffed with LVNs and RNs (no MAs) xc2xb7 Competitive compensation Requirements: xc2xb7 Graduate of an accredited United States School of Medicine; MD or DO xc2xb7 Board Certified / Board Eligible xc2xb7 Current unrestricted LA license xc2xb7 Current DEA Certificate xc2xb7 BLS – Basic Life Support Certification Job Types: Part-time, Contract Primary care specialties: Internal Medicine Primary Care Schedule: 4 hour shift Monday to Friday Education: Doctorate (Required) License/Certification: BC/BE (Required) Medical License (Required) Work Location: In person
