About the Role: Upperline Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to provide comprehensive foot and ankle care on a locum tenens basis. We have five clinics in Kentucky. This position would cover Danville, Russell Springs and Corbin clinics to cover for vacations and time off. Great position for a DPM seeking extra income or a part-time income! This temporary position involves delivering a full spectrum of podiatric services, from patient examinations to surgical and non-surgical management of foot and ankle conditions. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative mindset and a deep commitment to patient care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in various clinical settings while maintaining the flexibility of a locum tenens assignment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ lower extremity complaints, review medical histories, and perform detailed physical examinations. Develop and implement clinical care plans, including ordering appropriate imaging and lab tests. Provide comprehensive podiatric care, including at-risk foot care, trauma management, wound care, and surgical interventions when necessary. Offer surgical services based on your scope, education, training, and experience. Educate patients and families on foot care, general wellness, medication usage, and preventive care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with state regulations and Upperline Health standards. Participate in continuing education as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine. Prescribe medication as permitted by state regulations. Collaborate with hospital staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care. Experience and Qualifications: Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) with appropriate certification and licensure. Active DPM license preferred, or ability to obtain one within the applicable timeframe. Board Qualified or Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) and/or American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). Strong compassion for patients and their families. DEA registration or eligibility required. CPR certification, as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, clinicians, and team members.
