About the Opportunity Aligned Providers Wyoming, an independent provider-owned group, seeks a Hospitalist/Internal Medicine Provider to join our group and practice in the Internal Medicine Department in Gillette, Wyoming. Position Overview: As a hospitalist you will be providing comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including diagnosing and managing acute illnesses, coordinating with specialists, and ensuring continuity of care. This role focuses on the comprehensive care of adult patients, including the management of ICU patients and ventilators. The position requires no procedural responsibilities and excludes pediatric care, allowing you to concentrate on delivering exceptional adult inpatient care Key Responsibilities: xc2xb7 Provide comprehensive medical care to adult inpatients, including the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of conditions. xc2xb7 Manage and coordinate care for ICU patients, including the oversight of ventilator management and other critical care needs. xc2xb7 Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring continuity and quality of care. xc2xb7 Maintain accurate and timely medical records, documentation, and communication with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Hospitalist Department Highlights xc2xb7 Patient Volume: 6-10 per day xc2xb7 EMR System: Meditech xc2xb7 Department Capacity: 27 beds xc2xb7 Shift Details: 12 hours shifts (option to work block shifts) xc2xb7 Trauma Designation: Designated as a trauma hospital, provided critical care and trauma services and has a affiliation with UCHealth. Responsibilities xc2xb7 Patient Care Management: Provide comprehensive inpatient care, including examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for adult patients, including those in the ICU. Ensure that patients receive optimal care throughout their hospital stay. xc2xb7 ICU and ventilator management: Oversee the care of ICU patients, including the management of ventilators and other critical care interventions, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols. xc2xb7 Coordination and Communication: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care. Exhibit strong communication skills to explain medical situations to patients, families, and staff. xc2xb7 Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
