A well-established healthcare system in Ohio is seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum coverage at three of their facilities in Jackson, Gallipolis, and Meigs. The ideal candidate must have at least two years of recent experience in emergency medicine and be available to work 8 to 10 shifts per month, primarily overnight shifts (8p-8a) and weekends. Rate: $250/hour plus travel and housing coverage. Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a fast-paced, community hospital setting. Oversee Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the ED. Write orders for patient admissions and coordinate care with hospitalists and consultants. Collaborate with specialists including radiology, cardiology, pulmonology, and more. Manage an annual patient volume of approximately 18,500 across 15-20 patients per shift. Qualifications Must be Board Certified by ABMS/AOA in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine. Double-boarded ABPS candidates will also be considered. Must hold an active Ohio State Medical License (IMLC not accepted). Required Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program). COVID vaccination is required. At least 2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Department is mandatory.
