Job Summary The Academic Faculty Physician Recruiter will independently manage and lead the Faculty and Staff Physician recruitment process for the School of Medicine which consists of 25 academic departments. The faculty-physician recruiter will collaborate with administration, department staff, faculty search committees, agencies, and UC Health campus departments to provide high-level analytical support to establish innovative sourcing strategies to attract top-talent candidates. The incumbent will research, develop, and participate in programs and services to build a high-caliber candidate pool for Academic Faculty positions. The recruiter will ensure that recruiting and sourcing strategies consistently align with relevant academic personnel policies and procedures to conduct effective and equitable searches for both senate and federation faculty, Staff Physicians, and Locum Physicians. This position will develop business partner relationships with internal and external partners including but not limited to School of Medicine Departments, Academic Personnel Deanxe2x80x99s Office, Academic Affairs Vice Provost Office, Medical and Regulatory Affairs, Billing Support Services, Advertising Agency (e.g., JobElephant), placement agencies, and other stakeholders pertaining to the Academic, Staff Physician, and Locum Physician Recruitment and On-Boarding Process. The Academic Faculty Physician Recruiter will lead the design and delivery of innovative recruiting activities that produce awareness and attract and retain high-quality candidates to UC Davis Health and the School of Medicine. The incumbent will serve as the subject matter expert and conduct ongoing analysis to determine how recruitment processes and protocols may be streamlined, new talent pools can be developed, and department resources can be most effectively deployed. This position will be expected to administer academic personnel actions (UC RECRUIT) pertaining to members of the Academic Senate or Academic Federation for the School of Medicine, including Staff Physician and Locum Physician recruitments. This position provides expertise with complex transactions for academic and HR actions that requires an understanding of the School of Medicine, Academic Personnel Manual Policies and Procedures, UC Davis Health, and Human Resource recruitment procedures. This position is expected to manage multiple complex recruitments at the same time. Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite; and general clerical/administrative tasks. Demonstrated experience partnering and providing consultation to leadership, candidates and HR related issues. Extensive experience and understanding of recruitment process including online application management, advertising, interviewing and search committee oversight. Demonstrated experience in translating and implementing policies. Extensive experience and understanding of recruitment process (faculty recruitment highly preferred) including online application management, advertising, interviewing and search committee oversight. Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite; and general clerical/administrative tasks. Ability to work with minimal direction and independently follow up on issues. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in related area. Minimum of two (2) experience in physician recruitment, selecting, training and employee retention, including academic personnel and recruiting members of the Academic Senate or Academic Federation. Healthcare Recruitment experience. Knowledge and understanding of Academic Personnel Manual policies and academic bargaining unit contracts. Knowledge of or experience with UC Recruit, MyInfoVault, PeopleSoft, and Outlook. Working knowledge of virtual interview software. Experience in healthcare industry, developing, managing, and executing short and long-term goals and plans. Experience using campus and school payroll/personnel systems.
